The Mirror
by Stephanie Therese Wilson

If the mirror could only reflect
What is on the inside
Maybe we could see the true colors
That everyone is trying to hide

If the mirror could only reflect
What our feelings really are
We wouldn't have to keep our emotions
Bottled up inside a jar

If the mirror could only reflect
What our minds are thinking
Then it would help our hearts
From giving up and sinking

If the mirror could only reflect
That beauty is only skin deep
Maybe our eyes could dry
And not have a reason to weep
