Beauty Within
by Brian D. Srock

I see her from a distance
beyond the meadow and brook
An angel in disguise
Is walking the ground and grass

She does not see me as I walk
toward the lovely beauty.
Walking, I step in front of her
and take her hands in mine

Our eyes meet in a gaze of wonder
as I look at loveliness within.
Without a thought I lean a little
and lay a kiss on her soft lips.

"I kissed an angel."
I wispered to myself.
She giggled and kissed me back
Then turned... and flew away.
