Fairy Tales
by Stephanie Therese Wilson

I used to believe in fairy tales
And all the magic they shared
I believed I'd find a Prince Charming
Or at least a guy that cared

And then one day I saw you
Everything that I had dreamed
You seemed so sweet and loving
(Well, that's the way it seemed)

I wanted to believe in you
And all of your gentle ways
But I knew it was too good to be true
When you ignored me for several days

And then that's when I saw it:
You with another girl
It made my heart break
And it shattered my entire world

Now I've learned my lesson
And fairy tales are things of the past
It's trust that everybody needs
To make a relationship last
