If Only I Could
by Cory  Lawhon

I want to take all of your troubles away,
To remove all of your worries and doubts.
I don't like to see you worry,
Especially when I can't be there to comfort you.
You say that you love me,
And I love you, too,
So please trust me,
I will try my hardest never to hurt you,
And if I do hurt you,
It was never my intention.
Trust comes easy when you've never been a victim,
But it comes hard when you have,
This I know,
But I won't let it stop the love I show.
All I ask now,
Is that you continue to let me know
That the love I show is not in vain.
