A time to dance
by Tara Marie Morris

I feel it when you look at me,
I can see it in your eyes,
the words you find so hard to say,
your silence can't disguise.
The nervousness between us,
the way we get along,
all the things we have in common,
how could we be so wrong?

Wrong because the book of rules
says that we cannot be,
can't be, to laugh or talk together
for what might others see?
Our hearts joined for a reason-
they deserve to have their chance
to live, to love, to laugh, to grow
...our hearts deserve to dance.

I cannot speak all the words
of what there is to say,
I just hope we have the moment,
to dance our dance... someday.
