How do you say good-bye?
by Mitchell Damon Hawkins Jr.

How do you say good-bye,
to the greatest love you've known?
When will the tears I cry,
just stop and not keep flowin'?

When will that precious smile,
still in my head just fade?
When can I rest awhile,
to mend this heart she played?

Her voice- still in my head,
and her touch- it seemed so real.
The love I gave and bled,
I can't help how I feel.

Now I'm just alone-
a bird without a feather.
And no one dare condone,
I'll love her now, forever.

I know I should let go,
again, alone, I'll try.
But still I just don't know,
how to say good-bye.
