A Love Younger than me
by Tatiana L Ma'alona

     How would it be,
to have a love younger than me?
I've heard age ain't nothing but a number,
we fell in love over the summer.
Under the stars is where I felt it all
together we watched two shooting stars fall.
     The warm feeling I had
you showed me how it would be
to have a love younger than me
with so much to offer, I turned you down,
I didn't even think of the love
     you thought you found
Now, as I sit here alone
I ask myself, why didn't I give in?
would it have been a sin
to have fallen in love with someone
     younger than me?
But you showed me...someday we'll be
     true lovers without a doubt
only in my state of mind
true love we will soon find
     for only time will tell
     how happy we'll be
together or apart i'll pray to the end
     no matter what happens,
     let's remain friends.
