Together
by Jessica Ashley Scott

Sometimes I cry.
Sometimes I wonder why I cry
Over someone who hurt me so.
I look into your eyes
While my heart crys.
And wonder why
I can't see straight.

I feel like fishing, but me as the bait.
Why do I hate?
Why am I always late?
For the conference of the soul
All I see is coal.
I look into the mirror and I see blue.
Oh wait... it's only you.

I see you standing in the darkness.
At dawn,
No one is here.
No one is near.
I see you.
Do you see me?
I'm in the sand,
So take my hand.
I'll show you the way
So we can lay...
Together.
