Within My Eyes
by Danny Eugene Olson

There was a day
when we were young;
Running, dancing, making love...
feeling as free as the clouds above.

Many years have gone by now-
our skin is wrinkled
our eyes are dim;
running and dancing aren't within.

In these golden years
there's one thing I know for sure...
Your beauty within my eyes
has not changed with the same demise.

So, just remember one thing, my love,

 *** Love grows deep, not old. ***
