Destiny and Fate
by Shineth Gonzales Cunanan
I believe in destiny, I believe in fate
If I don't believe in all of these, then it must have been too late
I was destined to be me, though I didn't choose to be.
All I want is to have someone, all I want is to be free.
A destiny depends on all our choices
It is a guide without a voice
Just like a coin, it has face, it has a back
Just like a color, it's either white or black
Fate is like a card, still lying, to be picked
And then you'll discover there's a magic, there's a trick.
It is a question that can't be answered by a mind
Just like a treasure still buried for us to find.
I do believe in destiny, I do believe in fate
Just like the reality of love and reasons to hate
Through destiny, through fate, the Lord has given you to me
I'm just hoping that through time... we are really meant to be.
