Together we walk
the proof of our existence,
rhythmically being eaten
by the hungry water.

The sleeping sun
shines down on your
wind kissed lips
and you become more heavenly beautiful
then ever before.
And only I and the ripples
are here to look into you moonlit eyes.

I am here
on this breezy evening.
I am here
staring at this freshly painted sky
watching it be stitched
onto the waves.
I am here
on this beach,
in this sand,
staring into these eyes
for one reason...
