Every Night
by   Libby

Every night
under the passing moon
I lay down my armor
my mask of steel
I sit by myself and reveal
my true feelings for you

During the day
as I talk and live on
I convince even myself
that I don't need you
to breathe, though I do
so I can't

But every night
as I take down these walls
I realize I miss you
I still live for your smile
and no words of denial
could convince me it's a lie
