Love is a deadly crime
by Susan Rae Nott

They say true love comes but once in a lifetime
But if and when it does it can be a deadly crime
I know only too well how love destroys mankind
The Devil holds all the cards I'm no longer blind

For loving me caused Simon nothing but strife
And with a gun he went and took his own life
Leaving me behind to bear this burden of guilt
True love aside and my life now begins to wilt

From love I will continuously run away and hide
Not giving any indication of how I feel deep inside
Never again will I allow love to creep up on me
Donít show you love me, because I will only flee
