The Penalty For Letting It Be Known
by Biana  Yanovsky

I only know what I see,
and what I see brings tears.
You seem so close yet far,
that is the puzzlement of my years.
In time you will know the truth,
and I'll go down in flames.
You will turn your back and walk away,
giving me further shame.
This happens every time,
my heart allows me to play the fool.
While I simply try again,
slowly drowning in depths of a bottomless pool.
