Blind Fall
by Persephone  Boman

Falling deeply into the realm of hearts
Blind with hesitation, into the valley of love
Slowly slipping through the fingers of caution
Falling intently into the hands of another.

Comfort soothes and alleviates the bruises
Tightly gripping my body and soul
Unconscious am I when the grip slowly tightens
Far too late am I with weakness

Gave up my strength for what is called 'love'
Only to fall into a bed of rose stems with thorns
The wounds bleed my soul to the soil of greed
Empty am I when the final drop is drained
