Such A Waste
by Amber L. Jesse

It is such a waste
To love you as much as I do.
You will never love me back.
What a waste of feelings.

It is such a waste
To hope you'll suddenly
Fall in love with me.
What a waste of wishes.

It is such a waste
crying over you
Because you don't love me.
What a waste of mourning.

It is such a waste
To try to put more in our friendship
When I'm the only one trying.
What a waste of labor.

What a waste for me
To love you
Wish for you
Mourn for you
Labor for you.

But maybe
Everything that's a waste
Will turn out to be
Not a waste at all.
