It's Your Design
by Sunday B. Fakus

Itís your frivolous design
What I found myself to be today
Itís the work of your hand
To make me act this way

If I have something to say
You always claim itís not the right way
If I have something to share
You always tell me itís all the same

Every time before your friends
You always act to put me down
Now and then in the presence of strangers
You make terrible fun of me

Now I find myself to be shy and dry
Because Iím the subject of your ridicule
I discover I have no life of my own
Because youíve taken away all my pride

Itís clear I have no faith in your love
Because you didnít make me feel secure
Thatís why Iím always impatient
Because thereís no assurance in my heart

For long youíve been hostile to me
And now I live my life in fear
You never give me true love I deserve
Thatís why Iíve learnt not to trust again
