You Say
by Lindsay Elaine Penn

You say you see the stars when you look into my eyes.
But, I don't know what you see, it comes as a big surprise.
No one has ever loved me like you say you do.
I can't get it through my head that I give the world to you.
You say I make you happy when you've had a terrible day.
You say I bring your rainbow when your storm has gone away.
You say your life is gloomy when I'm not right by your side.
And if we're in a fight, you want to run and hide.
I'm not exactly sure why you want to be mine.
You say it's my personality and I'm one of a kind.
You say I'm beautiful, but I can't see what you see.
You say I'm the one you love, but I don't think you're talking to me.
