by James  Walters

A bouquet would I gather,
Crisp and fresh with bloom,
A myriad of flowers,
As fragrant as perfume;
As bright as August mornings,
As soft as lullabies,
As precious as a baby's smile,
As gentle as a sigh.
Such petals would I gather,
If they had near the grace
Of miracles you fashion
Each time that we embrace.
