Carved Away
by Jacob Lynn Hickman

A simple set of emotions,
 Taken out of hand.
  A wild mess of hope,
   Nowhere will it land.

Blow gentle on this spark,
 A smile on your lips.
Turn it into a raging flame,
   Carved away at the tips.
