by James  Walters

Whisper just a word to me,
Tell me wondrous things,
Of golden moons ascending
O'er violet-shadowed seas;

Of scarlet candles glowing,
And reveries of dance,
Of passion left untethered,
Of eons of romance.

Whisper just a word to me,
A word that will begin
A serenade of violins
And songs of seraphims.
