Lonely

By: Henry Kayange Luis

Been alone for so long, felt so wrong
She's been away for long, felt so little
Her beauty is liberal, vast and everlasting,
Set me free from the depths of irreversible stupidity.
Beautiful, like planets on the eyes of a poet

Comes like a gentle wind, warm, in slices
Forever finds solace in her eyes,
Arms warmer than summer, loneliness still frozen in spring
She smiles like an angel, let these words be my ring: am on one knee

This love has no end:
It forms a circle around a square veil
This a dream? Let me dream on...
Am really too old to be feeling this warmth, she's my sun

Always at her liberty, for she knows all forgiveness
Her arms are my elixir of immortality, i hate all loneliness
Her heartbeat is my favorite music, her voice- its lyrics, am addicted

Everyday on the lawn, i wait for her arrival
From dawn till dusk, i dream only her smile:
I know the number of stars in the night sky
Sunrise feels colder than the bitter winter,
I close my eyes just to see her imminently, then i cry silently,
'Baby i miss you'
