The sky exploded tonight:
Purple shards pierced through the night-kissed sky
leaving it exposed and vulnerable,
bestowing unspeakable beauty
onto so many undeserving eyes;
Much like the concerned blue seriousness of your gaze
which knifed its way
Through my twisted armor of self-reservations
to find a heart that has known no bound,
save for the quiet vigor
