The Mention of Your Name

By: William Mae

Love in all its splendor,
All its glory, and its fame
Leaves me searching feelings,
At the mention of your name.

Desire, want, and hungry need,
And no one I can blame,
I hurt because of love,
And the mention of your name.

As clouds gather in the evening,
Prelude to a summer's rain,
The same way my feelings grow,
At the mention of your name.

Fantasy, fear, hope, and dreams,
Cupid's children play their game.
They're born because of love,
After the mention of your name.
