My Heart was walking a tightrope,
With nowhere left to go,
I'd faced the fact forever,
I'd walk through life alone.
Then quietly he came to me,
No pretenses, no demands
Not expecting much of me,
Except to be who I am.
I'm not sure quite how it happened,
He caught me unaware,
It seems so unbelievable,
Pinch me? Don't you dare!!
For, if I'm asleep- Don't wake me,
I don't want the dream to end,
He's more than just a lover,
He's truly my best friend.
So, as I lay here hoping,
This isn't just a dream,
I open my eyes and see him,

My prayers have all been answered,
