you waited for me your entire life
and never gave up hope.
when you finally had me
your love ran deeply through
and as the years progressed
i grew and changed... matured.

though my decisions weren't the best,
you never let me fall.
you've stood by me through thick and thin,
your love, never faltering.
i never said, "thank you," for that,

even though i rarely say it,
i know you know it's true.
i love you both, and i am glad
to have parents as good as you.
