The Last Good-bye
by ashleyannepestano
I brought you here so I could tell you
We need to say good-bye
Because being friends and pretending not to love you
Is only living a lie

It's become too hard to look at you
And not see our past
It's become too hard to pretend it was nothing
And accept that it just didn't last

It may not have been right
And the love we shared not strong enough
But that doesn't stop my heart from breaking
Everytime you say you're no longer in love

And so, with tears in my eyes,
I say the last words I'll ever say to you
Although my heart is shattering leaving
I know it's the right thing to do...
