Reliving the Memory
by KarenE. Boyd
Alone in my room
with the moonlight slipping through the window, I cry,
Remembering how moonlight hit your face
when in your arms I would lie.
Waiting for a miracle during the night,
praying you will come back to me someday,
I try to think of other things,
but the memory of you overtakes me in every way.
I imagine every thing I once loved,
your smile, your voice, your eyes, your laugh.
I wake up suddenly realizing it was just a sweet dream;
I am once again reliving the memory of our past.
