a love that can't be in my heart
by faithful angel
At the beginning of my relationship, everthing was going great. He was the best, sweetest boyfriend. He would come over to my house to spend time with me. I met his parents and he met mine. Suddenly, everything changed. Whenever I'd call his house, he'd either be gone or sleeping. I realized that something was going on.
One day he aswered the phone and I asked him what was wrong. He told me he was busy doing some stuff out of town... that's when I knew he was selling drugs. I told him that what he was doing was wrong and that he needed to stop or he would lose me because I wasn't going to date a drug dealer. He said he loved me and that he would stop.
A month passed and I found out that he was still going out of town, that he had lied when he told me that he was gonna' stop selling drugs. Then, I just knew that I had to let go of the love my life.
While reading a LovePoetry poem, No Love in Your Eyes by Jacquelyn D. Lyon, I realized that he didn't love me 'cause he didn't see me in the same way that he used to.
Six months have passed and he still calls me to see what's going on with my life. To hear his voice breaks my heart, but I know I can't go back with him. I don't want to get hurt anymore. Since, I have moved on with my life and I try to get involved with clubs that are anti-drugs.
The only thing I have left to say is that it's very hard to change the way another person lives. Don't go back to the same page over and over if you already know what's going to happen.
