When will it be my Turn?
by Laura Ann Fournier

When will it be my turn?
When will happiness come?
You see all the happy couples.
Where will my love come from?

Should I let love come to me,
Or should I go out to explore?
Searching...searching for what?
What am I looking for?

What will make me happy?
Will my candle ever be lit?
If I don't know what to look for,
Then how will I find it?

How will I know when it's here?
If it comes, who decides when?
Is thereonly one chance?
And if missed, will it come again?

If my only chance of happiness
Is waiting just like me,
Who will do the searching?
How shall our eyes meet?

Who decides when I'm happy?
Will I know for sure?
Will I just keep thinking it's real?
Either way, will it be pure?

Will I learn to be happy?
Inside will my body burn?
Will it grow within?
When will it be my turn?
