I had a dream the other night

We came to where you had a picnic set.
We lay down on that
very blanket.

I start to giggle.

We kissed suddenly.
I had butterflies in my stomach.

When I woke up you weren't there
but the phone did ring.
It was you, my one love,
that asked me on a date.

When we were out
everything seemed like my dream.
We did everything
that I had said.

It was magical
every moment of it.
