Prince Charming
by Molly  Alderete

When I was little,
I dreamed of Prince Charming
Taking me away.
Then I grew up
And I met you...
I thought maybe 'Charming'
Does exist,
Maybe this is him
giving me this high five,
Maybe this is him
Stealing Cory?s bike,
Maybe this is him
Dancing with a baggy on his head,
Maybe this is him
Crashing in the trash bags.
But if this is Charming,
Why isn?t he asking me out,
Where is the carriage,
The gown,
My glass slippers,
The ball?
Maybe I was wrong
Or maybe my time will come
For him to ask me out
And become Prince Charming.
