The Lie
by Tony  Keiffer

I was thinking about you
And I thought
About what I said
That was a lie.

At that moment I felt
I could not go on,
Because I really love you.
Even to be with you 'til dawn.

If I decided to tell you
Everything I lied about.
Each piece of truth,
You'd begin to doubt.

If I decided to keep lying,
Everything will get worse.
To the point to not go on.
To the point of a curse.

The moral of this poem is
Tell the truth, even if it hurts.
Because each lie, brings on another lie.
By then, you'll be lower than dirt.
