Our Separate Ways
by Grant  Alvin Evans

Listen to what I have to say
And learn from what I know.
I feel that there will be a day,
A time for me to go.

I've traveled dark and silent roads
And highways, bright and clear.
I've been burdened by heavy loads;
Most times they disappear.

I've suffered many tribulations;
I've conqured demon foes.
And in times of inspiration,
I've stood where no one goes.

Your love for me spreads near and far
As a beacon on the sea.
Your guiding light from where you are,
It permeates through me.

When it is time for us to part
And go our separate ways,
I'll always keep within my heart
Our friendship, here to stay.
