Shouldn't you know me by now?
by Candace Yvonne Mayne

Shouldn't you know me by now?
All the time we've spent together,
Holding each other in silence
Telling everything we feel
Showing just how much we care.

Shouldn't you know me by now?
Every day we see one another,
Sweet glimpses sent back and forth
Never worrying about what's to happen
Constantly stroking each other's face.

Shouldn't you know me by now?
Looking carefully in my eyes,
Holding my quivering hand
Saying "everything's OK"
Why don't you know me now?
