A Little Ride
by Danielle  Stanton

I never should of went that night,
I stormed out of the house after our fight.

I never got to kiss you Good-bye,
I was just going out for a little ride.

My friend pulled up and I got in,
You ran after me like it was a sin.

I did not know they were high,
Until the car was in the sky.

We came down with a loud crash.
Then I saw a big white flash.

I heard the cops say "This kid is dead."
As they put a sheet over my boyfriend's head.

They looked at me and said "She's gonna die."

As I looked up in the sky,
I remembered I never said Good-bye.

Because I thought I was going out for just a little ride.
