Thirteen Moments
by   Epic

I want to be with you,
But I don't love you.
Does that make sense?

Make me whole and warm,
and part of something new.
But don't change me.
Don't ask me to give up,
so you can go on.
Laugh with me and laugh about me,
but don't laugh at me.
Appreciate my smile as much as my tears.
Remember that my intentions are good,
and that I am honest with you.
Treat me like a friend.

Hold my hand like an old woman would,
feel my fingers and their warmth.
Stand up for me when I can't,
or when I'm unsure.
Make me remember the first day we met,
but don't remind me to be alone.
Let my mouth fit into yours without thinking,
and smile when I tell a dumb joke.
Don't let yourself forget the moments before we kiss.
