My Angel
by   Serra Angel

creature of heaven, being of light
spread your great wing, start your long flight
your halo, a ring of blazing gold fire
your aura grows stronger as you fly ever higher
your hair is like waves on the cold dark sea
as black as the night you were sent down to me
your eyes hold me tight, as if in a trance
greener than emeralds, they sparkle and dance
your skin is so pale, like a dove or a flower
lily of the valley, dove of the tower
your smile is brighter than the stars up above
warmer than the sun, it fires my love
when you move, strength flows all through
your muscles ripple, you're as gentle as dew
your lips are soft, so pink and sweet
on colder winter nights, your kiss brings me heat
your arms bind me tight, tender and warm
so gently you hold me, I tremble against your form
the tears stream down my cheeks as we part
but you kiss them away, and pull me close to your heart
oh how it hurts that you have to go
but your wings enfold me, and you let me know
you'll always be with me, in heart or in arms
and you'll keep me safe from all pains and harms
so go, angel, go, but keep me in view
and always remember my heart belongs to you
