Rachel
by Eric Lawrence Moberg

I've liked you for so long,
And now I'm starting to love you.
I wish you could understand
How I really feel about you.

I remember the first time
I talked to you.
I think that's when
I started falling in love with you.

I remember in lunch
When I couldn't stop staring at you.
People would hit me,
And say she'll never want you.

But then I thought,
She's such a sweet girl and I'm such a sweet guy.
If she finds out who I really am,
She might say let's give it a try.

So I got your number,
And we started to talk.
The way you were so shy,
To this day I have not forgot.

Well, we've been together,
And we broke up.
What's next,
A relationship that really sucks.

You like me,
But I love you.
You're scared
I'm going to hurt you.

I could not hurt you,
I could not take the pain.
I would be hurt so bad,
My tears would fall like rain.

I love you, Rachel,
And there's nothing I can do.
So accept my love,
And say you love me, too.

Wherever I am,
Whatever I do.
Whatever I say,
I'll be thinking of you.

When we grow up,
There will be so much for us to do.
But you'll always be my real, true love,
And I'll never forget you.
