Let Me Forget
by   Riggs

Emaciating my life
Her image dwells in me.
Longing deceitfully seduced
My peace.

I tasted her love
And for a moment I looked
Through the eyes of Heaven.
Embraced by an Angel,
I saw the elegance of earth,
The sublimity of sound,
The softness of a storm,
The calm of confusion.
A night never to be known again.

The sweet Memory
Lingers with apathetic beauty,
Gripping my lonely heart.
Its hand so terribly soft and cold,
Imprinting upon me its soul.

I wish to forgive
This immaculate Desire.

Let me forget.
