I look at you
by Jessica Lynn Tibbott

I look at you through tear stained eyes.
I wonder where we got so lost.
How can it be that you no longer want me?
My world is falling apart.
You say, to fix my life, I should find my happiness.
To bad you don't know you were "IT"...
You were all I wanted...
you were all I ever asked for.
You made me love me,
You taught me how to love.
Why did you give me up and leave me alone
when I needed you the most?
I look at you through tear-stained eyes and
I see you like I always have.
You glow in a special way that I can't understand.
You are so special to me... Why can't I let you go?
Someone tries to fill your place,
but I push him away.
He's not you.
He's not who I have loved for so long.
Look at me through your eyes and see me clearly for who I am.
Give us a second chance for happiness,
we can help each other.
I'll be here for you, 'cause you told me our days would never end.
I wish you could understand the pain in my heart.
Being without you is tearing me apart.
Yet, life goes on without you,
its just darker and not so bright.
If I can not have you back,
I will always remember all those very special nights.
