What she sees
by   Railey Hope

When I look into her eyes,
I see myself.
When I whisper in her ears,
I hear myself.

For when she looks at me,
My heart skips a beat.
When she sings in my ear,
A smile beams across my face.

I don't know what might happen,
It's a very awkward situation.
For my friend is her ex,
And all I forsee is pain.

When I look at her,
All I can think of is holding her,
Then kissing her,
And tasting her sweet mouth.

It makes me nervous,
To know that I want her.
I felt like this before,
And I got burned.

I don't want to hide behind
This wall I built.
I want her to come with me,
And help me in this quest.

Maybe she can break down this wall,
Maybe the love I hold will make a window.
Then I will see her again,
And she will see me.
