Gone
by Mark Robert Mckee

I am here at school, sitting in my desk,
thinking of the day God put you to rest.

You did not deserve it, I thought in my heart,
but there is always a reason things fall apart.

Now that you are no longer here,
everywhere I go someone is shedding a tear.

All this sadness because you are gone,
but in our hearts you will always go on.

While you are in heaven I am sure you can see,
everyone is grieving, especially me.

But out of all this sadness while you are up above,
at least you can see how much you were loved.
