Once Upon This Day
by   stardreamer*

I came across a lock and key;
Within a prize worth waiting for.
And held my head in glorious clouds
not knowing what's in store

With cut-short breaths I opened it up
and found my heart inside.
Unable to beat to it's fullest extent
since it's raveled beneath your pride.

But I held my arms out in spite of your discard
and patiently wait for the beat;
That represents your will to give
to the one who is willing to seek.
