IF HEARTS WERE WATER
by John Abbie Mitchell III

If hearts were water
Yours would be the sea
You always go farther
Love abounding, awarding, flowing freely

I think of You every day
My heart fills with special thoughts
I pray we never go separate ways
A friendship like no other, forever caught

As the Sun rises and the Moon is to follow
So herald and true does Your love proceed
When my heart is wounded and its flow- shallow
You benevolently plant inspiring seeds

I'll not forget the love You bestow
Nor the offerings of sweet understanding
For You and I, this we know...
Our friendship is neverending .
