Regretted Love
by Salik  Mahmood

I know not when it came and went,
The wind of this strange love...
Feelings below destroyed my mind,
With nothing but regret above.

I know not what would be the end
Of this 'hallowed' dove of terror,
Her wings flapping with the strange beauty
That turned suddenly to pleasure...

I know not when i would be the light
No darkness can but kiss good-bye,
Anticipated though the weak mind is
To have but anything to cry...

Yet, i know what i am now,
A body with no soul,
No mind, no power, no spirit, no hope,
Yet, longing for its only goal...
