Angel Dreams
by Joel L. Reid
Lost in peaceful, silent bliss,
The sleeping angel dreams.
So quietly I steal a kiss,
Soft as a petal it seems.
The taste of her alabaster skin,
The smell of her golden hair.
The wondrous, loving heart within;
All, she would willingly share.
But to wake her now would be unfair,
Though her sky-blue eyes I?d see.
So I lay me down as close as I dare,
And pray her dreams are of me.
