Starchild
by Brian Earl Cox
Let me take you on a trip up to the stellar plains.
It'll cure you of your troubles, it'll ease you of your pains.
The price to go costs just your heart, I'll fill it up with love.
They call me the Starchild, my home is up above.
When you return, you'll look at life with a totally different cast,
your troubles and your worries will be a thing of the past.
Hold on tight we're going now, careful! don't look down,
Too much pain and loneliness resides there on the ground.
Look to your right, you'll see the stars where Venus now resides,
and to your left is now the home of the souls of happy brides.
Only happy couples there, in the Milky Way saloon,
they talk about their heartfelt love, you'll be in there soon.
Above your head, the Cupid Station, their crossbows fully cocked,
1,000 loves an hour, the last time they were clocked.
And there she is upon that beam, the lady that you'll meet,
take these Magic flowers, and drop them at her feet.
It's time for me to go back now, I must go back to Earth,
a lot of lonely people yet, I must show them loves worth.
They call me the Starchild, if you need me call my name,
I'll bring you to the place where love and people are the same.
