Lana
by Regent  Silver

If I kept the seas,
I would pour them out
and delight to give you
each treasure held in the deepest parts.

If the Earth were mine,
I would sift and search
to bring you every hidden gem,
every secret, precious thing.

I would gather the winds,
thunder, fire and lightning;
I would tame and direct them...
all to amuse you.

The farthest, brightest stars would be yours;
I would pull down whole fields,
leaving the night empty
to fashion trinkets for your pleasure.

I would slave for a thousand years
with your smile as my only wage,
your laughter, my music,
your touch, my strength.

You would know these things
if you could hear my heart
beating out the rhythm of your name;
If only you would look and see my eyes.
