Emotions Addict
by Marc M. Loi

Running a marathon with no finish line
Slowly dying, both body and mind
Runner's high has me going, I won't stop
Though I know I won't ever reach the top

Fighting in a winless fight
Shot myself in the heart, I am not so bright
Bloody, crippled, I am lying in the cold
Slowly dying, I've no one to hold

Brought upon myself, this addiction
What I see in it is only fiction
Take more and more, 'till everything's ruined
My world just shattered, it happened too soon

Blocking everything out, who cares for the truth?
My mind is burning; oh, how your eyes soothe
Hoping, dreaming one day you'll be mine
Still running my marathon... with no finish line.
